We didn't disappear...

We didn't disappear, here we are...again. Emanuel was in Paris for a week for work, and I decided to drive down to Terni with the kids. I know, I know, where did I get the courage from to leave...well, if I think a little bit, you are right...6 months ago I didn't even want to think about driving and now here I am driving 500 km by myself with two never stopping boys behind me, at least I am progressing!t So, we are at home again and everything has turned back to the usual ways. Since Emaneul took the camera with him I couldn't take picture, but I can ensure you that we had fun. For example, with grandpa we went to a place where you can fish trouts, then they weight them for you and you pay and you bring them home - and eat them (what a horror), and the kids loved it!

Something else...our artist is now ready to tell the results: the drawing you can see under is a JELLYFISH. To be exact, Giacomo received the inspiration from Spongebob and Sharktale The winners will receive an email! Thank you for partecipating!

The artist

The other day the missionaries came to us for dinner. Because of this in the afternoon I was in the kitchen preparing the food and I asked the boys to be good and play nicely, quietly (what a request!!). While I was cooking, they really were quiet. Suddenly Giacomo came to me with a paper in his hand to show me what he has done. And my mouth remained open... Here is his big artwork. According to you what is it? (Whoever gives the right answer, receives a gift!)

Ouch!! one is reading our blog??? I send the address again in email. The only one who is writing comments faithfully is Peggy (thank you, Peggy!!), and dad was successful once. But no one else is leaving a message for us at the comments...even if we write back!! We are missing you!

We would love to see some green around us when we look out the window, but we are on the third floor, and the appartment is facing toward other buildings - so we can't have our view... We have a large balcony though, where I made a VERY SMALL garden for ourselves. I thought that with fall and winter it will be more difficult to fulfill our "dream" and we will have to wait for spring to bring some green and color, but it came to my mind that last year my cyclamen brought lots of flowers throughout the cold months. With this thought and newborn enthusiasm I went to the nearby flower shop to buy some cyclamens. And I did buy...something else. I bought ornamental kale. Two purple ones and a white one - ok, I also bought a cyclamen. I put them in the container and they are doing very well, and I am loving them! I read that they resist very well for cold, so they should be fine this winter. I'm curious to see what is going to happen ...

Cake with fruits

When we were small, we liked to make sweets, and so did my grandma. Before eating them though, she always asked: "Does it make you choak?" She intended: is it too dry? do you need to drink water with it? Well, this cake is really NOT dry, plus, it needs 5 minutes to prepare it, she wouldn't say: get ready with a glass of water... Emanuel liked it so much that i made it 3 times last week!

I found this recipe in a gastroblog called Dolce Vita. She uses prugnes, I used apples and peaches, but you can use any kind of fresh fruits, even mixed.

500 g fruits (here: 3 appales, 3 peaches)
70 g melted butter
150 g sugar
3 eggs
70 g flour
250 ml milk

Put the fruit (cut in slices) in a buttered cakepan and pour cinnamon on it. Mix the melted butter with the sugar, then the eggs, add the flour, then add the milk. Pour this "liquid" on the fruit and bake the cake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes. That's it!

Precious moments...

In the morning some people drink coffee, some drink chocolate milk, some drink from the teacup, some from the baby bottle...

Giacomo's "comfortable bed"..."Today I sleep next to my toys!"

Samci in his free time...looking for something good in the fridge.
"Mom! Which yoghurt can I eat? This one, or rather this one?"

"Wow, good, I'm done!"

Samci is thinking very hard: "What did I want to do? I got it! To wink...there you go!"

The heartbreaker
