Holiday 2007...1st part

Our second stop was Terni. Since in Vicenza the combined heat and humidity was almost unbearable and nothing seemed to work against them, we decided to go down to Emanuel's parents in Umbria. They live near to Terni, the place is called Stroncone. Of course you can ask: "It is more to the South, isn't there warmer? Why do you go there?" The answer is simple: Stroncone is around 700 meters above the sea level. While in Vicenza (and in Hungary) there were 40 degrees, we were sleeping under 2 covers during the night! From the garden you can see the middle age town. Isn't it unbelievable that poeple still live in these houses? If during the day it became too hot, we put water in the small swimming pool and we had a refreshing bath. After the afternoon siesta we ate our well deserved gelato!! What a life... be cont.
